Douglas W. Kreitzberg, CLU, ChFC

Chief Executive Officer

USI Affinity

Douglas Kreitzberg received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Notre Dame in 1982. He achieved his CLU designation in 1996 and his ChFC title in 2002. Beginning with Colburn Insurance Service as a Contract Systems Analyst in 1983, Kreitzberg moved up to the position of Director of MIS in 1986. He was later named Vice President of Operations and then became Vice President of Corporate Planning & Marketing in July 1990—a position in which he was responsible for strategic planning, product development, market research and implementation of all direct response and print advertising. After USI Colburn Insurance Service partnered with USI Insurance Services Corp. in July 1998, Kreitzberg was named President. In March 2004, Kreitzberg became Chief Executive Officer of USI Affinity.

John P. Whitehead

Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer

USI Affinity

As Chief Financial Officer, John P. Whitehead is responsible for overall financial functions and is directly involved in financial reporting and analysis, strategic planning, forecasting and internal controls. Whitehead joined USI Affinity in January 2005, after serving over 16 years at Selective Insurance Group, Inc., a publicly traded property/casualty insurance company with over $2.7 billion in assets. During his years at Selective, he began as a Staff Accountant and quickly moved through the ranks of the Corporate Financial Accounting Department to Vice President and Controller. Whitehead was then promoted to Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer of Alta Services, LLC, a leading managed care company wholly owned by Selective Insurance. Whitehead is a 1988 graduate of Moravian College (Bethlehem, PA) with a Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting. He is a member of the New Jersey Association of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Eileen M. Webb

Senior Vice President, Human Resources

USI Affinity

Eileen Webb joined USI Colburn in 1992. She later became the Vice President of Human Resources and has been a member of the USI Executive Team since July 1998, when Colburn Insurance Service announced its acquisition by USI Insurance Service Corp. After attending LaSalle University, Webb began her insurance career in 1977 with Noyes Insurance Service. There, she held the positions of Supervisor of the Accounting Department, Administrative Manager and was a member of the firm’s Executive Management Team. Noyes Insurance Service merged with Corroon & Black in February of 1990.

Ted Greenman,

Senior Vice President, Business Applications

USI Affinity

Ted Greenman joined USI Affinity as Senior Vice President, Business Applications in April of 2007. In his role, he is responsible for all business systems related to sales, operations, marketing, service, business intelligence and internet capabilities. His focus is to deliver market differentiating solutions to improve revenue, reduce cost and improve customer service. Mr. Greenman has over 20 years experience delivering process and technology solutions to solve business challenges. Before joining USI Affinity, he served as Director, Information Management at CIGNA in the group insurance business, Chief Technology Officer at Medcases, a web based medical e-learning company and Senior Manager at Deloitte Consulting. His insurance background includes healthcare, P&C, life and disability. Mr. Greenman received his Bachelor of Science degree from Villanova University.

Arnol B. Kaplan

President & Chief Operating Officer

Professional Insurance Solutions

Since 1991, Arnol Kaplan was the Chief Financial Officer of USI Affinity’s Bertholon-Rowland division. In this position, he was responsible for the company’s underwriting, finance, accounting, administration, office facilities, legal and human resources functions. He has also been responsible for acquisitions at the company. Prior to joining Bertholon-Rowland in 1991, Kaplan held a variety of positions at Sedgwick Group PLC in London, England and at Fred S. James & Company in New York. He began his career at Cooper’s & Lybrand. Kaplan holds an MBA and Bachelor of Science degrees from Rutgers University and is a certified public accountant.

Paul Tyer

President

Benefit Solutions Group

Paul is responsible for the Benefit Solutions Group of USI Affinity which encompasses all sales, marketing, service and client management of employee benefit programs to our Association and direct clients. Additionally, Paul oversees all group insurance carrier relationships for USI Affinity. Prior to joining USI Affinity in 2005, Paul was a Partner at Emerson, Reid & Company focused on group insurance brokerage operations in PA, NJ and NY. Paul has over 22 years group insurance experience in sales and operational management roles starting with Independence Blue Cross in 1985 and Colburn Insurance (now USI) in 1991. Paul graduated from LaSalle University in 1983 and is an active member of the Greater Philadelphia and PA Association of Health Underwriters.

Mark Sweetland

President

Union and Employer Advocates

Mark Sweetland assumed the position of President of USI Affinity-Union and Employer Advocates in January 2009.  He joined USI Affinity in October 2005 as the Vice President of Sales for P&T operations.  Prior to USI, Mark spent 22 years working for various carriers in the group benefits market.  Most recently, Mark spent nine years running a variety of sales and retention units in the southeastern Pennsylvania region for Independence Blue Cross.  And, for eight years prior, he held various sales management positions at John Hancock in their New York and Houston offices, as well as a senior sales position in their Chicago office.

Mark began his insurance career as an Underwriter for Allstate until he refocused on sales for their Boston territory.  Mark is a graduate of Lake Forest College where he earned his B.A. in 1984.

Philip J. Super

President

Collegiate Insurance Resources

Phil Super joined American Insurance Administrators, Inc. (AIA) in November 1993 and was appointed President and Chief Operating Officer in December 2001. With the acquisition of two other companies, AIA became Collegiate Insurance Resources in 2008. When he joined AIA in 1993, the company had a roster of 33 clients. Under his guidance, AIA has increased its market share to more than 300 association clients. Super has 18 years of experience in higher education, serving as Executive Director at the Alumni Association of the University of Colorado at Boulder for four years and at the University of Oregon Alumni Association for five years. Those positions were preceded by years of experience in student recruitment and alumni relations at Bradley University. Super is a member of the Council for Advancement and Support of Education and a Charter Member of The Council of Alumni Association Executives. His experience and his relationships with many alumni professionals have been instrumental in positioning the company as the premier administrator in the alumni marketplace.

Kevin O’Neal

President & Chief Operating Officer

Travel Insurance Services/
Personal Lines Insurance Services

Kevin O’Neal joined Travel Insurance Services after selling his general insurance agency in September 2001. He adds 23 years of insurance experience and business management to the TIS professional portfolio. O’Neal has assisted individuals, businesses and affinity organizations by designing and implementing insurance solutions that support their overall risk management program. His insurance expertise includes all types of traditional insurance, from property and liability to life and health and specialty insurance plans, to business continuation protection. Outside the insurance industry, O’Neal acts as an adjunct professor for the Edward S. Ageno School of Business at Golden Gate University in San Francisco, California. He teaches a variety of management courses that include Fundamental Management, Organizational Behavior and Strategic Planning.
