
John’s primary responsibilities involve the day-to-day management of a number of key UEA union accounts, marketing a series of voluntary insurance benefits to membership groups consisting of more than 1.5 million professionals and their families. He joined Future Planning Associates in 2004 and remained with the organization subsequent to FPA’s acquisition by USI Affinity the following year. Prior to his service with FPA, John was the Regional Vice President for Transamerica of New York, overseeing marketing operations involving a wide range of individual and group insurance products. Graduating from Albright College in 1970 with a Bachelor of Arts degree, he went on to receive his M.Ed. from Springfield College in 1971. With over 30 years of experience in the insurance industry, John has been involved in a wide variety of programs in both the individual and worksite markets.
Alan Falcon assumed the position of Director of Enrollment Services in February 2008. He joined the company in July of 1998 and manages both Client/Carrier relations as well as new business and product development. As Director of Enrollment Services, he manages our Northeast field sales force and has developed a National call center - based in Matawan.
Prior to USI, Alan spent fifteen years in the medical practice management field where he developed, built and operated medical diagnostic facilities performing evaluations and consultative examinations for governmental agencies.
As V.P. of New Business Development, John M. Mejasic is responsible for sales of voluntary products to unions, municipalities, school districts and large employers. Mejasic joined USI Affinity in August 2009. During his 20 years of insurance industry experience, he has served as a Sales Executive, Regional Sales Manager and V.P. of Sales for several insurance carriers, most recently CIGNA. Mejasic is a 1986 graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing. He is an active member and past secretary of the Greater Philadelphia Association of Health Underwriters.
Vince Cicatiello was a founder and partner of the largest worksite site enrollment firm in the United States, Custom Benefit Programs. Founded in 1990, CBP joined the USI family in 1998 and was renamed UNIVERS. Vince concentrated on the “large case” market and has played a key role in group sales ranging from 5,000 to 125,000 employees. Most recently, Vince has focused on working in the Broker marketplace and has conducted business in over 45 U.S. States.
Melissa Chenard joined USI Affinity – Union and Employer Advocates (formerly FPA) in 2001 as the Executive Assistant to the President. During her tenure, she has had extensive involvement with client activities which also included direct contact with internal and external UEA Management and Union Officials. After the company was acquired by USI, Melissa was chosen to be the HR Liaison for both UEA and Professional Insurance Solutions (formerly Bertholon Rowland) while continuing her ongoing administrative duties. Shortly after, Melissa was promoted to the Manager of Customer Service & Administrative Services. Melissa’s wide-ranging experience with client relationships as well as her proven rapport with USI staff has been significant to UEA and the USI Affinity organization.
